Acer goes wild on Computex

During the Computex expo on Taiwan, the Acer company presented five new smartphones, Z200, E600, E700, Liquid X1 and Jade and, what is more – a smartband and a new tablet. Take a quick look on what is new…

Acer Liquid X1 is a leading smartphone with an octa-core 1,7GHz CPU and a quad-core GPU. X1 has a 5,7-inch display, a 2 GB RAM and a 13 megapixel camera with a F/1.8. lens. Liquid X1 is a category 4 LTE terminal, it also has an interface adapted for one-hand usage. It will be available in the third quarter of the year.

Another novelty is Acer Liquid Z200, equipped with a DTS Studio Sound speaker system. In this model the screen has 4 inches, with a WVGA resolution. On board of Z200 we can find a dual-core MediaTek6572M CPU, Android 4.4 and an optional Dual-SIM.

Another two models are related. Liquid E600 offers LTE network access and a power of a quad-core CPU, while Liquid E700 can support three SIM cards. Both smartphones have 5-inch IPS dispaly and Android 4.4. Liquid E700 has 4 GB internal memory and a 3500 mAh battery, while Liquid E600 has 16 GB RAM and an 8-megapixel camera.

The last of the new smartphones is called Acer Liquid Jade and it stands out with a stylish case with the screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Jade has 5-inch IPS display and a 13-megapixel camera with a F/1.8. lens.

The Acer company presented also Liquid Leap – a smartband, equipped with one-inch display and monitoring users activity. Liquid Leap counts steps and distance traveled, displays an approximate number of calories burned and monitors our sleep. In addition, on the screen it displays notifications about incoming calls and texts. The case is water-proof and comes in many colours.

Acer has also a novelty for tablet-lovers. It is a new Iconia Tab 8 with a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 1,86GHz CPU, supported with an Intel HD GPU and a 2 GB RAM, It has an 8-inch display with a 1920x1200 pixels resolution, and an internal memory of either 16 or 32 GB. The tablet also has a 5-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. Iconia Tab 8 works under Android 4.4 KitKat.
