OnePlus One smartphone which was supposed to cause a stir on the market at the moment causes a sensation mainly in information services. Recently it has turned out that it will be released on the European market with a small delay. The reasons are so trivial that they are funny...
It would seem that such a simple thing as the inscription on the housing cannot affect the sale of the phone. Meanwhile, it turned out that OnePlus One will be launched in Europe at least two weeks later than expected because of a small print. The manufacturer wanted to be extremely avant-garde, arbitrarily changed the symbol of the European Certificate that is the initials CE, which you perfectly know from the equipment that you use. The standard CE marking, according to stylists, did not fit the look of the phone. Unfortunately, the officials remained insensitive to designers' tastes and ordered to change the markings to the proper ones. This will cause the hold of sales of devices and the necessity to replace their housings. It will take several days. By the way, I wonder if anyone in OnePlus did not know that some signs are immutable?!
OnePlus One is still not easily accessible ("at the invitation" sale is in progress), but it did not stop it from appearing on the iFixit site. Its engineers disassembled the device, to assess its vulnerability to repair. OnePlus One scored 5 points out of 10, which is average. iFixit rebukes extensive use of adhesives and that it is difficult to dismantle numerous tapes and connectors. Some of them are quite well hidden and require from the serviceman a lot of skills and attention. And this, unfortunately, will result in high costs of eventual repairs...
