The race for the slimmest phones continues. Another superflat smartphone – similarly to Gionee Elife S5.5 which is now wielding this title - also comes from China. This is Philips I908.
Unfortunately, in case of the new Philips we don't know yet the exact dimensions of the housing, so we can't confidently conclude that it has already dethroned the 5.5-millimeter Gionee. Looking at the picture, the thickness appears to be close... The technical specification promises to be equally impressive. Philips I908 uses a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, backed by 2 GB of RAM. The phone has a 5-inch FullHD display and a 16 GB of a built-in memory, and - as for a racial "Chinaman" – it supports two SIM cards. Philips I908 will also be a good photographer: a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. And everything is enclosed in a slim design with an interesting curved front panel. Unfortunately, the device will be available only in China - we do not know about its plans for wider distribution at the moment... Its appearance isn't completely known either. According to unconfirmed information, I908 should not be too different from the models I928 displayed on the image.
