During IFA 2014 Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab Active - the first tablet designed for business.
To see what features business leaders expect from a mobile device designed to ensure the optimum performance and effectiveness, Samsung held a series of group workshops conducted in the companies from the Fortune 500 list. They included representatives of such industries as retail, logistics and transportation, providing valuable information that has been taken into account in the work on the Galaxy Tab Active. In this way, there was created the first tablet inspired by professionals.
The device has a full set of connectivity options, so a user is always "in touch". The tablet is thin, light and elegant, while at the same time reinforced and equipped with a replaceable battery.

The new Galaxy has anti-shock covering can withstand a 1.2-meter drop and with the protective cover on, and it is water and dust resistant with IP67 certification. Manufacturer's representatives argue that the field workers in all industries will be able to take the device in places where there are difficult conditions and do not worry about exposing them to high or low temperatures, dust or water.
On board of the Galaxy Tab Active there is a camera with a resolution of 3.1 megapixels with autofocus, which scans barcodes. In turn, NFC technology shortens the communication and management processes at work. The solid stylus "C-Pen" is installed at the top of the protective Galaxy Tab Active cover to provide professionals who may have to wear gloves, on a construction site for example, with an alternative input option to their finger.
The detachable battery can withstand up to 10 hours. Also, the built-in POGO pin charging prevents micro-USB connector damage while allowing for multi-device charging when returning to the office.
Tab Active has a lot of possibilities for making calls, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and LTE, has a 16 GB memory (plus a microSD card up to 64 GB). It will be available in Titanium Green.
