Motorola - a positive surprise

The company representatives greeted us in a bit cramped hallway of the apartment at the Hotel de Rome. We did not expect anything surprising, but the reality mocked at us.

We went into the living room, where we get to know with Moto X; to the dining room, where we were given a renewed Moto G; and to the office, where we could wear Moto 360. Seriously: the promo idea of the manufacturer to present the benefits of new devices in an environment where we live every day.

The new Moto G is a device that allows for a lot of things for a small price. Despite the plastic casing the smartphone makes a very good impression. It lies firmly in the hand, while different colour versions of the battery cover will extend possibilities to fit to our own taste.

We inquired about the number of versions and it seems to us that fans of the brand and different configurations will be delighted: single-and dual-SIM, 8 or 16 GB flash ROM, LTE or 3G - the choice is huge. The approximate price given by the manufacturer is 199 euro.

The model that we saw handles two SIM cards installed under the back cover unusually, because on the left and right side of the housing.

Moto G also supports memory cards, unfortunately, only up to 32 GB. You'll like the display. This is IPS matrix with nice colour reproduction.

Moto X will probably be the dream of many die-hard users of Motorola, because not only does it look great, but also it has a strong specification and some unusual solutions. With infrared sensors the phone perfectly supports the gestures. In turn, the voice service enables its hands-free operation. The smartphone can be turned on with the voice, and then in the same way you can run applications, write text messages or listen to the received messages. The phone can be given any name or first name, and turn it on like this - this is somewhat similar to services such as Cort and Siri.

The exact technical specification is in the catalogue. I will only mention Snapdragon 801 processor, which due to economical operation can save battery power, the camera with a 13 megapixels matrix and interchangeable housings made of real wood.

Those who buy Moto X via Moto Maker (possibility of designing the enclosure) will pay 529 euro for the version with 16GB or 579 euro for the version with 32GB. On a free market, in October, there will be available version with 16GB for 499 euro.

Moto 360 looks great in both versions; natural brushed stainless steel or black steel. Yes, of course, through it you can communicate with your smartphone, handle it vocally, measure steps, or pulse through appropriate sensors, but above all it is a beautiful piece of mass production, which closely resembles a classic watch. It is differs from other watches, the fact that you do not need to dial it (of course you need to recharge, but wirelessly, because the device does not have any slots), and for this you can choose among a number of digital watch faces corresponding to the user's preferences.

Additionally, by properly fastened bands (also with genuine leather), it was possible to integrate them with the casing. Oh ... and one more thing: it is waterproof according to IP67. However, leather bands don't like getting wet.

After seeing all the watches at the fair, I can only say that Moto 360 suits me because of the design and aesthetics of performance. The watch in both versions with leather band can be purchased for 249 euro.
