Recently, I have written about the unusual accessories for smartphones, developed by HTC. This is not the end, the company is preparing something else.
That something is to be an external camera, which is to compete with the iconic devices GoPro. Unfortunately, we do not know too many construction details of HTC ReCamera. We know that it will get a unique curved housing. It is to have a 16-megapixel sensor and wide-angle lens with a field of view of 170 degrees. The camera is to have a waterproof housing, as well as the ability to record videos in slow motion. The device is to be presented on October 8 - and probably only then we will know whether it will be an autonomously working equipment or a remarkable addition to a smartphone. It remains for us to wait, just like for the new smartphone HTC Eye. Other source of information - but also from the Far East - states that Eye will be another variant of HTC One M8, but with a much better, 13-megapixel camera. This camera will also receive an additional matrix with the lens - to allow the use of effects of the Duo camera. The smartphone will also appear in October, but - at least initially – it will be offered exclusively in China.
