Slowly, we're beginning to test new iPhone models. We will review the smartphones soon, but now - for the introduction - I invite you to a brief summary of the first impressions...
Both models, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus do not disappoint. The phones are made perfectly, with pedantic attention to quality of installation. At first glance, I noticed that the new Apple models - despite an increase in the size of the enclosure – lie great in hand.
I am convinced that the rounding of the edges of the housing was a good idea. The second thing I noticed is the excellent balance of the structure. Even in case of iPhone 6 Plus, the device close to a class of phablets, you can have a good grip to operate with one hand.
Another item that caught my attention was a protruding camera lens (in both models). I do not understand how Apple, the manufacturer attaching such a great importance to styling of products, allowed to the create something like this?!
The protruding lens defaces the housing line and it will be exposed to damage. It has a sapphire crystal glass which is true, but will it provide adequate protection?! Fortunately, the camera is able to defend itself with the quality of images. I took a few test images, the results were promising...
New iPhones are clearly faster than the 4S model, they seem to surpass 5 and 5S - but I'm not sure if the force of autosuggestion does not work here. Of course, while reviewing both models I will closely look into the matter - for now I know that in terms of speed work they are excellent.
And are they excellent in terms of styling? It's a matter of taste. I - except for the protruding lens - did not like the clear plastic inserts. Maybe a lighter variant looks better...? I noticed that the housing are prone to scratches to a similar extent as in models 5 and 5S, in the "sixes" I fear of the resistance of the display glass to drops. I am calm about the relative strength of the scratches, but I'm afraid that the rounded glass, protruding beyond the outline of the aluminum body of the new models will easily break after the fall. Maybe that's it...?
If I were to evaluate both models today - I would have a difficult task. On one hand, they are perfectly tuned smartphones. On the other - horribly expensive and looking somewhat arguably. They lack a little of a "premium" thing, which in its time had the model of the 4th generation... I know that no one has to convince Apple fans to purchase one of the new iPhones - but I'm not sure if this year's Apple proposals are good enough to convince the undecided – such as me. Everything turns out when the phones come to us for testing, which - I hope - will happen within a month.
