In 2016, we expect phones with 4K screen resolution. Sharp implements them for the production, which will begin in full swing in about a year. It seems that the madness in compaction of pixels, will not disappear...
Sharp intends to provide screens with diagonals from 5 to 6 inches. Their precise resolutions are not known yet, but we can assume that they will amount to 3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160 pixels. This, however, is a tune of the future, which explosion we can expect at the earliest during MWC 2016, but that does not mean that in the meantime, Sharp will not pamper us with different and interesting displays. A little earlier, as early as April 2015 the company will present a screen with a density exceeding 600 ppi, and soon we will see the new LTPS displays made by placing a polycrystalline silicon substrate on a glass. This technology will provide higher brightness and excellent colour reproduction. Unfortunately, the development of the battery is not going in tandem with the development of the screens. Without them, these wonderful displays from Sharp will remain only a 'gadget'...
