Microsoft unveiled its smartwatch. The biggest asset of the band from Redmond, called Microsoft Band is in my opinion the opportunity to work not only with smartphones with Windows Phone, but also based on Android or iOS.
The device itself is not very revealing: it is primarily focused on cooperation with fitness applications, resembling somewhat Gear Fit from Samsung. Microsoft Band, however, has a flat screen, with a diagonal of 1.4 inches and a resolution of 320x106 pixels. It is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, but the hardware will be able to work well without connection to a smartphone, although then it will not show its full potential. The band has 64 MB of memory and a processor ARM Cortex M4.

Microsoft Band was packed with multiple sensors. In addition to GPS, we also have a light sensor and UV rays, a 3-axis accelerometer, a gyroscope, a skin temperature sensor and a Galvanic skin response sensor, there is also an optical heart rate sensor. Along with the band debuts, Microsoft Health, collecting and analyzing data collected by the armband.

Microsoft's watch also displays notifications from the phone, it will also work with Cortana, which soon learns to 'talk' in the following languages. Microsoft Band will not be fully waterproof, it will only be splash and sweat proof. The battery also does not breaks the barriers – it can withstand a maximum of two days. It is divided into two parts of 100 mAh and placed in a tray, a magnetic connector will provide a lasting one and a half hour charge.

Unfortunatelly, for the time being there were published only relevant applications in shops: for iOS the ap is called Microsoft Band Sync, and for Android and WP it is described as Microsoft Health. There are no data on the timing of the introduction of the watch for sale. We know that the watch will be offered in three sizes: S, M, L, and its price is $ 199.99 in presales.
