ZTE is preparing a new phone from the Star series. ZTE Star S2004 will be the new flagship in this family and it will be equipped with a mysterious addition...
Unfortunately, based on information from TENAA and pictures I am unable to determine what the mysterious supplement will be. We're speaking about the item, which is located near the camera lens on the opposite side of the LED flas. This may be a laser autofocus, but as well a fingerprint scanner, a pulse meter, or an infrared transmitter to control AV devices. It could also be an additional LED flash - but it's probably a weak hypothesis, because on the other side of the lens there can be seen clearly the right light, and even the fact that it is dual-coloured.
I'm not sure if I should fantasize about a laser autofocus - the camera is in fact fairly average, with an 8-megapixel - just like the front one. On the one hand, I wonder if it would be worth adding it an advanced focus system - but on the other hand – the laser would drag attention of buyers from the not very impressive resolution of images.
Other elements of the phone are already less puzzling. We have a 5.5-inch FullHD screen, a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor and 3 GB of RAM. On board there will also be the LTE module, 16 GB of memory, and Android 4.4.4. And all together is reasonably priced and is unfortunately only available in China.
