A few days ago, Nokia announced the launch of the new device. Yesterday there was another, somewhat misleading announcement. We were expecting a microcomputer, TV box - and we have a new tablet! Here's Nokia N1!
The device, which basically nobody expected, may mean a return of Nokia (not Microsoft) on the mobile market. The tablet is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it features a proprietary interface, the Nokia Z Launcher.

There was especially simplified finding applications. To start the search, just start sketching anywhere on the screen its name. The rest of navigating the interface is to be as simple. From this description it follows that Z Launcher "learns" how the user uses the tablet and after some time it proposes appropriate applications. Z Launcher will also be available for other devices (including smartphones) with Android 5.0.

The tablet received an elegant and slim casing with metal - but I must admit that - even though I do not deny its beauty - the shape is pretty standard, with no major traits.

The device has a IPS zero air-gap display with a diagonal of 7.9 inches and a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels, covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The heart of the tablet is Intel 64-bit Atom Processor Z3580, 2.3 GHz, aided by 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and graphics PowerVR G6430, 533 MHz. The tablet has 32 GB of built-in memory, but we cannot see that it received a microSD card slot.

For capturing the image are responsible two cameras (8 and 5 megapixels) and for sound emission two 0.5-watt speakers supported by Wolfson WM8958E system. On board we will find modules Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac 2.4 and 5 GHz and Bluetooth 4.0, while the power supply provides a battery with a capacity of 5300 mAh.

The tablet has dimensions 200,7x138,6x6,9 mm, weighs 318 g and will be offered in two colours: Natural Aluminum and Lava Gray. The dark box that appeared several days ago in one announcement, and most of the journalists took it for a TV box, turned out to be just... a packing of the tablet Nokia N1.

Nokia N1 appears in the first quarter of 2015, and the expected price of the tablet is approx. $ 249. The device is manufactured by an external company in China - and it is on that market that it will appear in the first place.
