A few days ago I wrote about the new project of somewhat forgotten Jolla. Today we know that we are talking about the tablet, which fate depends on the success of the crowdfunding collection on IndieGoGo. The manufacturer needs 380 thousand dollars...
It seems that the Jolla tablet will go into production - there is still 21 days till the end of the collection and there has already been collected more than 1/4 of the required amount (as for 10:00 on November 19). The fate of the crowdfunding campaign you can follow on IndieGoGo.

It seems that the Jolla tablet is doomed to succes ... is it really? The device will receive a new system Sailfish OS 2.0. According to the manufacturer it is the most serious modernization of the platform in its history. The device is expected to cost (I think) approx. $ 249. The first one thousand donors on IndieGoGo will buy them however for 189, and another thousand - for $ 199. The equipment will be available in Europe, USA, Russia, India, Hong Kong and China.

Is it worth spending $ 200? The tablet will be based on 64-bit Intel quad-core processor, backed by 2GB of RAM. The built-in memory has a capacity of 32 GB, with the possibility of expansion with a card. The tablet will also receive a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, and GPS /Glonass, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n dual-band and Bluetooth 4.0. The equipment got a battery with a capacity of 4300 mAh. Measuring 7.85 inches display was made in IPS technology and the resolution of 2048x1536 pixels gives a factor of 330 ppi density. Everything will go to a slim casing measuring 203x137x8,3 mm and with a weight of 384 g. If the collection is successful, the tablet from Nokia, which debuted yesterday, will have a dangerous competition. Devices have similar specs, pricing, and aim also in the same group of buyers. It will be interesting...
