Sonim - known for its rugged phones - is preparing another proposal. This time it will be XP7 Extreme, having the chance to be the most durable mobile with LTE. Its production is, however, dependent on the success of the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
Sonim XP7 Extreme will work under the supervision of Android 4.4., and its strength exceeds current military standards. In addition to resistance to mechanical damage, the new Sonim also meets IP68 requirements: it will be therefore fully dust-proof and resistant to immersion to a depth of 2 meters - what is important, even in salt water. Extreme casing design but did not shattered utility of a device as a smartphone. Sonim XP7 Extreme allows you to use LTE and 3G networks, has also modules Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / r, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Glonass. The heart of the smartphone will be a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400, assisted by a gigabyte of RAM and a 4-inch screen with Gorilla Glass will have a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. On board there will also be 16 GB of memory, an 8-megapixel camera and a front 1MP webcam, as well as a strong battery: 4800 mAh. It is to provide up to 1,000 hours of standby time and 40 hours of talk time.

Sonim XP7 Extreme is yet available on the site IndieGoGo for $ 579, and the delivery will begin in March next year. Donors contracting the phone can rely on freebies - accessories and prepaid credit.
