LG unveiled in Las Vegas, the second generation of the curved smartphone G Flex. LG G Flex 2 retains the characteristic "banana" shape, but it has much better parameters than the original.
The new model – as the first commercially available smartphone - has received a 64-bit processor Snapdragon 810 with 2 GHz and support of 2 GB of RAM, and a 5.5-inch display with full HD 403 ppi, made with Curved P-OLED. On board we have a 16 or 32 GB of internal memory, moreover, there as eliminated one of the drawbacks of its predecessor. Now in G Flex we can use a microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 2 TB. There was also improved the camera. It has a 13-megapixel sensor with image stabilization OIS+ and the laser autofocus, known from the G3 model. Unfortunately, the front camera has only 2.1 megapixels, so we can forget about a decent Selfie... We have a chance to break free from a charger for longer than several hours. G Flex 2 has a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh that recharges halfway already in 40 minutes, and it is plastic – it is possible to bend. I recall once again the presence of LTE modules, Bluetooth 4.0 (with support for the codec Apt-X) and NFC, and GPS / Glonass. The phone weighs 152 g and measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7,1-9,4 mm. Of course, the thickness - due to the arcuate shape of the casing - is relative... The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 with a proprietary LG interface, enriched with support for gestures helpful when taking pictures. LG G Flex 2 will be available in two body colours (Platinum Silver, Flamenco Red), and the rear panel will still be covered with lacquer having the ability to regenerate after minor scratches. Unfortunately, at the moment we cannot yet determine the price of this unique smartphone...
