At this year's CES, Sony unveiled the high-end music player Walkman ZX2, but it looks like it will not be the only music novelty. The company published (apparently by mistake) information on the musical variety of the smartphone Xperia Z4.
The accidentally disclosed Sony Xperia Z4 Music differs quite significantly from the original flagship, which data we know from other leaks. If the today's leak is true, Xperia Z4 Music is an interesting hybrid of a Walkman and a 4-inch smartphone. The device has a Triluminos IPS screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AB) 2.3 GHz CPU supported by 3 GB of RAM. The equipment will be available with the 32 or 128 GB memory and a 2000 mAh battery, which is enough for two days of work. On board there will also be an 8-megapixel camera with Exmor RS lens f/1.8, and the housing dimensions are 109x49,4x8,9 mm. Different memory versions will vary with colour and weight. Thus, the 32 GB variant will be available only in a black housing, and its weight will be 133.5 g. The 128 GB model will weigh 138.5 g, and will be available in silver, gold, purple and green.
The equipment will be firmly focused on music. In addition to a special interface, we can find in it the S-master system and the front speaker S-Force PRO Surround. There will also be special play modes: Clear Audio+, DSEE HX, VPT, Dynamic Normalizer and DPC, and the 5-band equalizer. The equipment will play DSD, WAV, AIFF, ALAC and FLAC files. It is not known yet when we can expect the launch of Xperia Z4 Music... A revealed, already prepared leaflet may suggest that it is close to the presentation of the phone. Therefore we may see this model at MWC...
