Japanese branch of Sony announces new smartphone Xperia J1 Compact. This will be a model composed of the top of components, enclosed in a compact (not only by name) housing.
It's nice to see such a phone. Small, true to its compact name but good-looking and well-equipped. The styling of Xperia J1 Compact refers to the flagship Z3 – there was retained the characteristic rounded sides and clearly emphasized the key switch. The housing is dust- and waterproof according to IP58 standard. Xperia J1 Compact has a 4.3-inch HD display and a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor, supported by 2 GB of RAM. On board there is also a microSD slot to expand the built-in 16 GB of memory, as well as a battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh with a Stamina mode. There are plenty of modules Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, LTE and NFC, and the phone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The good quality of images provides a 20.7-megapixel camera, but Selfie fans may be disappointed by the front cam which has only 2.2 megapixels. The dimensions of the phone are 128x65x9,7 mm, and weight - 138 grams. The price - after conversion of yen - will be approx. $ 460. The weakest point of the phone is that it will only be available in Japan.
