Huawei P8 and P8 Max officially presented

The new Huawei flagship is a continuation of previous models from the P series. There was retained a slim casing, which now has a 6.4 mm thickness. The phone was covered with nano-coating that protects the interior against accidental wetting, eg. in the rain. The housing is made from a single slab of aluminum and its processing takes 810 minutes.

Huawei P8 has an octa-core, 64-bit Kirin 935 processor, assisted by 3 GB of RAM, and its 5.2-inch display offers a FullHD resolution. The screen has an interesting option - additional functions can be called up by tapping with a knuckle...

The phone can work as a DualSIM (with LTE on both cards!), but one of the SIM cards can also be substituted with a microSD card to enlarge a built-in memory. And it can have 16 or 64 GB, depending on the wealth of the purchaser. Taking photos enables a 13-megapixel camera, and its activity supports the 5-megapixel front camera. The main camera is equipped with a new sensor RGBW and an independent digital converter.

The camera also has a wide-range image stabilization, as well as the ability to control the cameras in three other smartphones - to get shots from different points. In the photo software there is also a number of options related to "painting with light" - the program allows for example to achieve streaks of light in the pictures at night...

Android Lollipop with Huawei's overlay manages all. The phone will be available for 500 or 600 euro (depending on memory), and optionally there will be offered among others an interesting case with an additional 4.3-inch e-ink. P8 has a battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is enough for at least a day and a half of work.

Huawei decided to make a surprise for us, and instead of a simpler model P8 Lite it showed us the flagship "on steroids" or P8 Max. This design is not much different from the basic model. It only has a larger, 6.8-inch display with full HD, as well as a much bigger battery - 4360 mAh. In addition, in the interface there also appeared an optional horizontal mode - as in tablets. The price of this option will be 550 or 650 euro – with the memory 16 or 64 GB.

The question of the numerous leaks of said model P8 Lite remains a mystery. They didn't mention it at the conference, it is impossible to find the specifications on the manufacturer's website - at least for a moment it was there. For now - though competitive services readily describe this model - we hold with the publication of the data... until the manufacturer eventually makes it available.
