The Korean branch of LG unveiled a new smartphone with a stylus: LG G Stylo. It is a mid-priced model - and at this point it is worth appreciating the movement of LG. Rather than to compete with Galaxy Note, LG aims at a slightly lower, untapped market segment. After all, there are virtually no inexpensive phones with a stylus...
LG G Stylo has a 5.7-inch display but with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, the diagonal is unlikely to impress with the density (258 ppi) - but it should be enough for the less demanding user. On board we will also find a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. A built-in memory only has 8 GB, but the phone has also a microSD card slot with capacity up to 2 TB. There are no such cards on sale yet, but they certainly will be. The manufacturer apparently assumed that G Stylo prospective buyers will use it for a long time. The photo section of the smartphone is somewhat modest - but actually we cannot complain. The main camera is more than sufficient 8 megapixels, while the front - 5. Note that megapixels are not everything - the quality of the lens and software involved in image processing counts as well. Let us hope that the Koreans here did not go the easy way... The smartphone - actually the phablet - has the battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, while the role of the supervisor there is Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device measures 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6 mm and weighs 163 grams. LG G Stylo in Korea was valued at approx. $ 460, and after its debut on the home market, the phone will be sold worldwide.
