It seems that HTC is preparing an additional, cheaper variant of the model One M9 Plus. The One M9e smartphone will have similar characteristics, but a cheaper, less sophisticated housing. Information on this model, publishes the Chinese office TENAA.

For now there are no significant changes in the specification. TENAA says that HTC One M9e has a 5.2-inch display with a QuadHD resolution and an octa-core processor - probably the same as in M9 Plus, which is MediaTek MT6795T 2.2 GHz, supported by 3 GB of RAM. On board we will also find a biometric scanner and a 20-megapixel camera with dual-color LED flash. Interestingly, the camera will be "ordinary" – there was abandoned an additional lens and the DuoCamera. There will be however HTC Sense 7 UI and the front camera with ultrapixels, as well as excellent stereo speakers. The housing will be unfortunately much less impressive. The front of the device will be similar, but the rest of the body is made of plastic. HTC One M9e will go rather exclusively for the Asian market - but it's far too early to talk about it...
