As previously announced, the company Ramos unveiled its first smartphone. The device promises to be quite interesting, but the manufacturer is not planning any global expansion. Ramos Mos1 will be offered exclusively in China.
Ramos is no newcomer in the industry. The company has existed since 2001 and is a fairly significant player on the tablet market in the Far East. Will it succeed in the smartphone industry? It is difficult to predict, but the beginning seems quite promising.
Ramos Mos1 received nicely stylized casing. Made of metal sides (forming the supporting frame of the phone) are neither round nor flat: they have interesting breakdown, forming a distinctive effect. Ramos applied here a new material, which is a mix of aluminum, magnesium and silicon. The frame is performed on the digital machine tools and combined with two glass panes.
The display was covered with convex glass Gorilla Glass, and the rear seems to be a bit flatter. The screen has a diagonal of 5.5 inches and a FullHD resolution. The heart of the smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 CPU, supported by 2 GB of RAM. Mos1 has 32 GB of built-in memory, but unfortunately does not have a microSD card slot. It has a pretty robust battery with a capacity of 3050 mAh and two cameras: 13- and 8-megapixel. The device runs on Android Lollipop with the overlay MOUI 1.0, developed by Ramos.
Ramos Mos1 will hit stores in the first half of August, and its price will be less than 2 thousand yuan, which gives approx. $ 325. The smartphone with dimensions 154,3x77,3x7,6 mm and weighing 158 grams will be offered in three colour variations.
