CAT S40 may slip out of hands, cover with water, and even withstand a close contact with keys thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It meets IP68 and MIL-810G. In other words, it can be useful where other smartphones fail.
At least in the area of the strength CAT S40 is very good. As far as technical specifications, it is unfortunately a weak smartphone. The system of CAT operating under the control of Android 5.1 is based on the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 210, a gigabyte of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory.
If you have not seen a qHD display (540x960 pixels) for a long time, this smartphone will offer just such a screen in a size of 4.7 inches. It's still 234 ppi, so there is a chance that the image will be livable. CAT S40 is equipped with two cameras: 8 and 2 megapixels, as well as support for LTE networks.

There is navigation and a memory card support up to 64 GB, while a lack of information about the presence of FM radio. Watching a housing I also could not see a LED flash that could back-lit photos, or even serve as a flashlight.
CAT S40 should set an example in the field of physical strength, but I do not know why there is a common belief that this kind of phone cannot have a slightly better technical specification. I would like to someday see a smartphone that would combine both features in a successful way.
