Samsung presents Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus

Samsung has really broken with the image of a company offering good equipment in ordinary plastic housings. Recent models of the company are really solid and elegant. It is no different with the novelties presented today. Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have first-class housings – a metal frame is combined with a durable glass, all dressed in neat shapes. Presenting Galaxy Note 5 Samsung broke the tradition promoted a few years. Typically, the S-Series models were presented in February during MWC, and Notes - in September at IFA. This time we get to know the new Note a little earlier - presumably for it not to "disappear" in the jungle of Berlin's launches and not to "collide" with the iPhone, which it probably will fight with on the market this autumn. What will fight Note 5 with? In addition to its sleek housing, its strength will remain the functional S-Pen stylus.

Consistently excellent remains a Super AMOLED 5.7 inch QHD display and it is something that is sure to attract further buyers. The new Note is also thinner than its predecessor - measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm. The octa-core processor will provide computing power supported by 4 GB of RAM (LPDDR4). The phone supports LTE connectivity Cat. 9, it also has NFC module. The internal memory is based on new Samsung flash UFS 2.0, providing fast read and write. They will be offered in versions 32 and 64 GB. The power will provide a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. In the photo we find a 16-megapixel camera with an optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front camera with a digital stabilization. Both cameras have a lens with F1.9 brightness.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus turned out to be kind of a surprise. Samsung has not offered so far an enlarged version of the S-series - and this time we have a model with a 5.7-inch screen, enclosed in a housing with dimensions 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm. The screen is obviously characteristic folded and wraparound edges that at higher diagonal should be more functional. We'll see... The model will not certainly disappoint fans of top smartphones. In addition to making a considerable impression display, we have the same specification as in Note 5. In my opinion, this is a surefire material for a blockbuster, but its market success can depend on a price.

And although today we met two new models, we know that Samsung hides in store something else. On the eve of the Berlin IFA trade fair there was scheduled the next conference. What will we see on it? I do not expect a new smartphone. We already met Note 5, and it's little too early for Galaxy S7. So - are we have smartwatches... and maybe something else? VR? Or maybe Samsung will make us a joke and during the IFA it'll show only new smart vacuum cleaners and washing machines? That would be a shock...
