Shortly before the Berlin's IFA trade show Archos has unveiled two new smartphones: 50 Cesium and 50e Helium. The twin constructions, differ only with their systems. Cesium runs under Windows 10, and Helium uses Android 5.1.
The smartphones will cost 99 pounds, and will be equipped with 5-inch IPS HD screens and quad-core Snapdragon 210 1.1 GHz processors, Adreno 304 graphics support and a gigabyte of RAM. Both feature a modest 8 GB of internal memory as well as a microSD card slot up to 32 GB. The smartphones support LTE Cat. 4 and a DualSIM and DualActive mode. There are also an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front webcam and identical batteries - 2100 mAh. The phones have GPS modules and Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi Direct mode.
The difference is, as I mentioned, operating systems. Archos 50 Cesium uses Windows 10, while Archos 50e Helium received Android 5.1 Lollipop. Different systems caused some minor differences in the appearance of devices. The model with Android have the system keys below the screen, and in widows model they are displayed on the screen. The structures also have a slightly different bezel and sides of the casing - but only cosmetics, technically – they are the same.
