On Friday I showed you a picture of this year's Motorola smartwatch. I suggested then that the device will be available in two versions, and we are watching the smaller one. It's time for a bigger one. It was also caught live.
The watch was able to be tracked down in the pictures from the Indonesian Conference of Lenovo. During the local presentation of the Vibe Shot smartphone Dillon Ye the vice president of Lenovo's sales in the Asia region was wearing the watch. There is no doubt that this is a new model. Look at the position of the button. In last year's model it was at around 3 o'clock on a clock face. In the new one it was transferred up to a height of 2 o'clock. You can see that the watch worn by Dillon Ye is larger than the one viewed by us on Friday.
So – it's a male model. According to information supposedly coming from Dillon Ye himself, Moto 360 (2015) will be offered in sizes 38 and 42 mm. The watches have a different capacity of the battery (270 mAh and 375) and different resolutions of the screens (the smaller model instead of 360x360 has 360x290 pixels). Unfortunately, it looks like we will not see this device at IFA. Dillon Ye said that its launch will take place "before the end of the year". In other words, he ruled out the launch in the coming days. In fact, September is before the end of the year, but I suspect that if the launch was to be held at the IFA, Mr. Ye would have used different wording.
