Though the launch of Samsung Gear S is scheduled for September 3rd, the Korean company has decided to present the equipment today. The smartwatch Gear S will be available in two versions!
The standard Gear S will be a watch in a sporty style: available in light or dark enclosure, fitted with a silicone strap. The version Gear S2 Classic will be more elegant. A black envelope is combined here with a leather strap. According to the announcement, the smartwatch is running on Tizen and is water resistant, it meets IP68 certification.
The heart of the watch is a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz and support of 512 MB of RAM. Samsung Gear S2 also has 4 GB of internal memory, and the interface is a touch SuperAMOLED screen with the size 1.2 inches and a resolution of 360x360 pixels. The touch panel is supported by a rotatable ring surrounding the watch face and two mechanical buttons. The watch has a heart rate monitor, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a light sensor, as well as modules Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.

Optionally, the device can be enriched with 3G, allowing you to make voice and internet calls without having to connect a watch with a smartphone. Gear S2 will then receive another battery - 300 mAh, a 50 mAh more than the model without 3G. Interestingly, the various versions differ slightly with dimensions of the housings. The Classic measures 39,9x43,6x11,4 mm and weighs 42 g. The version with 3G is approximately 44x51,8x13,4 mm and weighs 51 grams, while the parameters of the basic model are 42,3x49,8x11,4 mm and 47 g.
