The Indian Yu company presented its new Yu Yunique smartphone. The phone is offered by a local Snapdeal internet store for only 5000 rupees, that is around 75 dollars. So it is one of the cheapest LTE phones in the world.
For such a low price it is of course hard to expect an advanced construction. Yu Yunique has a simple, plastic housing and 4.7-inch HD display. The heart of the phone is a quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU supported by an Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. We can find there 1GB of internal memory as well, a socket for microSD cards of up to 32GB and a battery with 2000mAh capacity. The equipment covers a 2-megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel main camera, which f/2.0 lens is built in a large-sized grille. Besides an LTE connectivity, buyers will receive a GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and an FM radio. The phone has Android 5.1 in its pure form, but there is a possibility to install Cyanogen 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 by the service.
