Samsung has been dividing its smartphone offer into series named with letters for some time now. We have A series, E, J or S… and now we have another one – O. A smartphone with such a marking has just appeared in GFX Bench database.
Samsung Galaxy O5 will be a model placed in the lower zone of the medium-price shelf. We do not now any details about its stylization but we can assume that it will be close to other current models. Samsung will probably choose to connect a metal frame with glass and plastic once again…
When it comes to the specification – no revelation. On board of O5 we will find a quad-core Exynos 3475 1.3GHz CPU with a support of 1GB of RAM and a Mali-T720 GPU. Unfortunately, the phone will only have 8GB of memory, from which the user will only be left with 4.5GB. This is a low amount, so it will be necessary to use a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy O5 will have an 8-megapixel camera and a front camera with 5 megapixels. Both cameras will allow to record FullHD videos. GFX Bench noted the presence of an accelerometer, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a proximity sensor, what is interesting, there is no gyroscope, NFC and… light sensor. The phone will work under Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, probably equipped with TouchWiz interface add-on.
For now we do not know plans for distributing O series. It is possible that it will hit selected markets. The first model from this series will definitely be not that expensive – but I think that this company already has similar phones in its offer…
