On September 29 in San Francisco, Google officially unveiled its new products. In addition to smartphones LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P we also met new Chromecasts, we learned about the novelties in the sphere of software... and tablets.

Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels with Gorilla Glass 4 and a metal unibody housing. The operating system is of course Android 6 Marshmallow, and the driving force provides the system Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1, which draws power from the battery with a capacity of 3450 mAh and supported by 3 GB of RAM. The phone also has stereo speakers and the USB-C port.

Nexus 6P will be available in silver, graphite, white and gold, and the last of varieties was dedicated to the Japanese market. There are three versions of the memory 32, 64 and 128 GB. The 13-megapixel camera got enlarged pixels (1.55 micron), to ensure better results in low light, despite the lack of optical stabilization. The front camera is 5 megapixel. The smartphone has an additional biometric scanner and in the software there appeared refreshed camera and gallery applications. The dimensions of the device are 159,4x77,8x7,3 mm, and weight - 178 grams.

Nexus 5X from LG from LG is somewhat a simpler, lower-positioned model. It received a 5.2-inch screen with a FullHD resolution, covered with Gorilla Glass 3 with an oleophobic coating. The heart of the smartphone is Snapdragon 808 processor with a clock of 1.8 GHz, supported by Adreno 418 graphics and 2GB of RAM. The phone will be available in versions with internal memory of 16 or 32 GB Android 6.0 on board.

LG Nexus 5X also has a 5-megapixel front camera with the lens f/2.2, as well as a rear main camera with a matrix of 12.3 megapixels, lens f/2.0 and a laser autofocus. Additionally, the cameras used in a smartphone allow to create video with the effect of slowing movement and 4K video recording. The housing dimensions of the smartphone are 147x72,6x7,9 mm and the weight of the device is 136 g. The equipment is complemented by a biometric scanner Nexus Imprint and the USB-C port - like in Nexus 6P.

That's not all - Google is also developing software realm. In Google Play Music appears, Family Plan, which allows to assign to one account six devices, while in Google Photos there was added support for Chromecast, the possibility of tagging a face and sharing albums between users. Shared albums are compatible with different operating systems and devices and their users are alerted when new photos are added. In the US there will also be a possiblity to buy "an insurance" for Nexus. In case of irreparable mechanical damage, you can receive a new copy, and in the case of repair - a replacement for its duration.

Google also refreshed the popular Chromecast - a small gadget for streaming multimedia. The device has a different shape, and the casing will be available in three colours - black, yellow and red. Chromecast now supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c and additionally uses an intelligent switch between two internal WLAN antennas to ensure a good connection.

Chromecast received a new casing with a magnetic attachment to a TV and with an external HDMI cable, useful for densely populated connectors. There was refreshed the appearance of the application, adding a number of new solutions to increase comfort. The equipment also has the "Fast Play" option, accelerating the transmitted content. The price - no change, $ 35.

There also appeared a simpler Chromecast Audio, which - as the name suggests - only supports audio materials. In this case, the device has a classic headphone minijack output - just connect it to the speaker or headphones. There will be no broken Bluetooth connectivity or interfering in listening to notifications... There is additionally the service Spotify, just like in the "big" model. An additional advantage is a multiroom synchronization between several Chromecasts audio. Is it enough to pay another $ 35?

At the end of the conference there were a few words about the mysterious tablet Pixel C, I wrote about a few hours earlier. We still have to wait for the launch, but we got to know the overall specification and the price. Pixel C is to have a 10.2-inch screen with 308 ppi density ratio and the brightness of 500 nits.

The heart of the tablet is to be a quad-core NVIDIA X1 processor, assisted by Maxwell graphics and 3GB of RAM. The device is to have a metal casing, and a detachable keyboard which is fixed magnetically. There are available two versions of internal memory: 32 and 64 GB, priced respectively at 499 and $ 599. The keyboard, as in Apple, with an additional charge: $ 149.

The conference came to an end... and not surprised. The only curiosity was Pixel C, they did not talk too extensively about the phones... I got the impression that much more time has been devoted to Chromecast, and already by far the most - software. But isn't it a showcase of Google?
