A day without a leak about new Lumias is a day lost. So now I am rushing to present you another photos of these new smartphones from Microsoft. This time they are not renders but a prototype, working devices.
Photos are not the sharpest ones but we can still see something in them. For example we can see icons of two SIM cards on the notifications bar. We can clearly see a retinal scanner in Lumia 950XL – this is the bright element near the front camera. We can see an aesthetically designed logo on the back wall as well – it looks like it is made from metal and is not printed. It is worth noticing the difference of placement of some elements, for example front cameras, sensors or speakers. This indicates that these phones – even though their names suggest a close relation – are completely different constructions and these changes reach out far deeper than it would seem from known specifications. According to data, differences cover displays, CPUs and batteries – but different placement of key elements of the construction indicates that they have different motherboards and have a completely different internal structure. Those that by some miracle did not stumble across the specification of these new smartphones are welcomed to read previous news about them. You can find there press renders for both models.

In the meantime, the American branch of Microsoft published on Twitter a photo that shows Cortana’s possibilities. In the photo you can see a girl dictating something to a smartphone… but which one? This is not any currently known smartphone from Microsoft and this is not any of the new phones, which will be presented on the 6th of October! Maybe this is Lumia 850 that is supposed to launch at the end of this year…?
