On October 6 in New York, Microsoft unveiled its long-awaited novelties. We met flagship Lumias 950 and 950XL, and a new tablet, a notebook and a band Band 2. We have prepared a brief summary of the conference.

At the beginning Terry Myerson said that Windows 10 has already been placed on over 110 million devices. It can therefore be assumed that the new system boasts a fast adaptation by users. Then he said a few words about the Xbox. Games from Xbox 360 will be run on One. Xbox will become cheaper and receive a new controller, also compatible with Windows 10. The most important thing was still to come.

Holo Lens... actually - a hologram! Holograms "hung" around the player act like real objects - move, react to the environment and each other. They are created by a high-resolution camera, filming around the player and sending the image to the Holo Lens goggles. Without a phone, without wires. This is the future of entertainment. For only $ 3,000 you can be a developer and create software for this amazing equipment.

Another of the novelties presented the second generation of Microsoft Band. The manufacturer listened to users of the first generation of bands and has introduced improvements. A new design, soft band, Gorilla Glass 3, GPS, smart alerts, the coach with Cortana... There was also added a barometer. Of course, the device saves our exercises and monitors sleep. Additionally – it measures the oxygenation of the body. To make it funnier, Band can also record your golf hitting to the hole. The device can operate with social networking, and its price is $ 249.

Finally, Panos Panay from Microsoft presented the new Lumias. Interestingly, there wasn't too much talking about the specification. There were given the general terms: eight- and six-core processors and OLED screens in sizes of 5.2 and 5.7 inches. A liquid cooling and an improved antenna, as well as a 20-megapixel cameras with stabilization and a dedicated button. USB-C and a microSD support up to 2 TB.

The greater part of the presentation was devoted to Continuum mode. When connecting via USB a small box of Microsoft Dock, you can hook up the monitor with HDMI, a keyboard, a mouse... and we have a computer! In addition, applications seamlessly pass between the "monitor" view, and a telephone. On the monitor there is almost a normal desktop, and in the place of menu start, appears the screen of a smartphone. At the same time, the phone can perform on its screen a different task, but on request we can "jump" on a smaller screen. And it really is more interesting than dry specifications. Prices? 549 USD for Lumia 950, 649 USD for 950 XL. There was also announced Lumia 550 - the phone will appear in December for $ 139. In case of this model there wasn't disclosed properly nothing more.

During the conference they didn't mention the specifications of smartphones, but I owe you a little summary. So... Lumia 950 and XL 950 have displays with QHD resolutions. Lumia 950 XL has a Snapdragon 810 processor (4 cores A57 2 GHz, four A53 1.5GHz, Adreno 430 graphics), and 3 GB of RAM and a 3340 mAh battery. Lumia 950 has a Snapdragon 808, a 3000 mAh battery and 3 GB of RAM. Both phones have 20-megapixel cameras with Zeiss optics and a stability system, as well as 5-megapixel front webcam. Unfortunately, only 950 XL front camera has a LED flash - taken previously for the iris scanner. Instead of a scanner we only got a face recognition system. The ignored Lumia 550 will be equipped with a 4.7-inch AMOLED HD screen, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 210 assisted by a gigabyte of RAM. The internal memory capacity will be 8 GB, and in the photographic part there will be cameras with a resolution of 5 and 2 megapixels.

After the phones it's time for Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Slim, light and half more powerful than the MacBook Air (a question which one?). With the improved keyboard, backlit buttons, a larger trackpad and a magnetically fastened stylus with 1024 levels of pressure sensing and e-eraser. Additionally – a docking station to change the tablet into a computer, just as earlier the smartphone. The keyboard and the dock will work well with the previous Surface. The keyboard also features a biometric scanner. The price of Surface Pro 4 is - $ 899. On the technical side, the new Surface will have processors from the Core M line and graphics chips Iris Pro and up to 16 GB of RAM and a terabyte of storage space. The screen measures 12.3 inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels.

Microsoft also showed its first laptop: Surface Book. To make things more interesting, this is a hybrid - with a detachable keyboard. Although the equipment can turn into a tablet, after the junction of the whole it shows its full potential. The computer has a 13.5-inch screen with 267 ppi density ratio, which can be used with the stylus. The laptop will also be equipped with a processor from the latest series of Intel Core i5 or i7, Nvidia GeForce GPU with GDDR5 memory (located in the base - keyboard), up to 16 GB of RAM, and USB 3.0 and SD ports. It's a very powerful equipment in a spectacular housing - from $ 1,499.
