On the first day of MWC there was a brief, concise presentation of the smartphone which is the fruit of Bullitt Group's cooperation, the brand owner and CAT and the Flir company, specializing in thermal imaging. CAT S60 is really a unique smartphone...

CAT introduces a breath of fresh air on the market. The phone is very robust, and it has something that any other smartphone has had so far. CAT S60 can shoot infrared, thermal photos, it can also record video with a resolution of 80x60 pixels. The camera presents a thermal image in several colours, eg. highlights coldest and warmest field of view. Additionally, you can indicate the maximum or minimum temperature of photographed objects, and even apply these tags to the standard image. Moreover, thermography can be used to capture images in complete darkness - though of course at a fairly short distance, about 30 m. In addition, CAT S60 can also perform a normal, 13-megapixel photos, it also has a front camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels.

The smartphone features a 4.7-inch HD screen covered in bold millimeter Gorilla Glass 4. The heart of the phone is a Snapdragon 617 processor, supported by 3 GB of RAM. CAT S60 also has 32 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a battery with a capacity of 3800 mAh. The device supports LTE network and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

CAT S60 has, of course, a specially reinforced and waterproof housing. The phone can immersed into water to 2 meters, and after sealing the speaker and a microphone with special yellow caps, up to 5 meters below the surface. These caps move a special guard, that improves the density of the housing in sensitive places. The rigidity of the body provides a metal frame, we should also pay attention to the unusual placement of the SIM and memory cards connectors - under a small flap at the back of the phone. An interesting piece of equipment is also a speaker with the strength of 105dB. The phone is resistant to falls from up to 1.8 meters. Unfortunately, this advanced gadget cannot be cheap. CAT S60 will cost approx. $ 600. It will be available in summer.
