Microsoft yesterday officially started the process of updating devices running Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile. The helper application can be downloaded from the Windows Store - it enables you to learn about the availability for a specific device.
In the Polish branch the program is called "Application Advisor." You can also check with us, but the Microsoft's list is dynamic and there can appear another device. Currently, there are on it:

There is not all equipment of the manufacturer. There is not for example those which have already received the new system within the Windows 10 Mobile Insider. Many older devices are not here also, because they would not be able to handle the new system.
Let me give you a personal advice: it's worth waiting with the update to the first reactions of users. This applies particularly the weakest devices of the above mentioned. The new system is a new requirement and against the wishful policy of manufacturer it may turn out that the system workable so far has been turned into a completely new and lovely, but causing the smartphone starts acting like its distant ancestor. Subscribing to the principle that if something works well, it does not make sense to change it, I recommend patience, careful and serious consideration of the need to changing to Windows 10 Mobile. However, at the same time I do not want to scare in advance. It is worth reading the reviews, looking around and deciding for your own use, according to your own intuition and needs.
