UMI officially released the model Max. The phone was presented on the manufacturer's website (and in our catalogue) a few days ago, but the manufacturer has announced the launch with a small delay...
Without getting into the information policy of UMI, I share with you information about the novelty - in case you have not noticed it yet in the catalogue...
The manufacturer praises its work, describing Max as an "answer" to Samsung's Galaxy S7. The press release highlights the sleek look of the device and the advantages of its specification. I have to agree with UMI's marketing people: the Max housing, available in two colours (Gunmetal Gray and Bling Gold), is actually quite aesthetic and looks solidly and neatly. In the middle we find the components of known and respected suppliers: Screen from Sharp, memory from Samsung, battery from Sony and cameras from Panasonic.

Turning to specifics... UMI Max has a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 2.5D. The heart of the smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, paired with Mali-T860 graphics and 3GB of RAM. The in-built memory is 16 GB, but we can enlarge it with a microSD card up to 256 GB, although unfortunately in a hybrid slot, alternating with an additional SIM card. The main 13-megapixel camera is provided by Panasonic. The camera has a fast start and equally fast autofocus operation, the focusing in 0.3 sec. The front camera - has a 5-megapixel module GC5005. Both cameras record video in FullHD.

UMI Max is equipped with a Hi-Fi AW8738, as well as fast fingerprint scanner and an interesting LED signaling, built around the "home" button. All this feeds the battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, which recharges via USB-C. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. I do not deny that the costing less than $ 170 UMI Max is quite an interesting proposition, but a comparison with the Samsung's flagship mentioned in the introduction is perhaps somewhat "exaggerated"...
