A camera, speakers, or maybe a projector? What can we change our phone into so that it could fit our needs? During the IFA convention we saw how does products from the Moto Mods family work. And we have learned about the new, dedicated phone – Moto Z Play.
The basic principle is simple – the Moto Z Play phone is a peculiar base to which – according to our capabilities and needs – we can attach various devices, for example a Hassleblad camera, JBL SoundBoost speakers, Insta-Share projector or a powebank.
Manufacturer’s representatives convince that such modularity is the new era in mobile technologies. From now on the user can change their phone in a device that he or she will need the most at the moment.

The Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod device aroused the biggest interest among journalists. This is a camera attached – just like the rest of devices – directly to the phone.
The camera has a 10x optical zoom and a xenon flash and it takes photos, for example, in the RAW format. There is a physical trigger of the shutter as well. The manufacturer has a surprise for all buyers – a free access to the Phocus Hasselblad software, thanks to which we can edit photos quickly and efficiently.

Hasselblad is a company well-known to photography enthusiasts. The most famous photos are, for example, first shots from the Moon and the album cover of famous Abbey Road by The Beatles.
Hasselblad, just like other additional devices, are attached to the Moto Z Play smartphone. It has a thin and a light housing built on a solid, aluminium frame. In addition we have an elegant glass. And though the battery has a long lifespan, the manufacturer added the quick charging option – because of it we can achieve a 9-hour work after only 15 minutes of charging.

Lenovo Moto Z Play has an octa-core 2GHz CPU, a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and 3GB of RAM.
The phone will be available in Europe in this month for around 499 euros. For the Hasselblad camera we must pay slightly less – 299 euros.
And even though the camera was the most wanted gadget, in the company’s stand we could see how does the mobile projector work…
