During the IFA Alcatel's representatives showed today some new equipment. One can undoubtedly be described as a tablet (the model Alcatel POP 4 (10) LTE), the next ones are - although they are only slightly smaller - phones.
The tablet Alcatel POP 4 (10) and two smaller LTE devices: POP4 6, 7 POP4 joined POP4 family.
The tablet is a sleek and stylish device, which has an efficient prosessor, ultra-fast 4G LTE connectivity and advanced audio enhancements for music and movie lovers. "The new Alcatel POP 4 offers both style and functionality," says Vittorio Di Mauro, Alcatel's Vice President & General Manager of Smart Connectivity Division. "It tempts with high performance and fast 4G connectivity."

The heart of the machine is efficient, octa-core system, supporting high-speed connectivity 4G LTE. This solution is ideal for streaming high-quality video and high-speed downloads.
The IPS FullHD screen is fully laminated, so that the displayed colours are juicy, and the contents legible even in heavy sunlight. In order to provide the best listening experience, they teamed up with Waves to add MaxxAudio to the series. There is also “Auto select” technology, known from its IDOL 4 series, which automatically detects content type or music genre and reacts with the right optimization setup pre-tuned with pro studio-level processors by mastering audio engineers.
“Waves is at the forefront of providing innovative intelligent audio technology, which has become an essential feature in gadgets. We are committed to developing advanced audio enhancement tools to make the most out of latest content and devices. With MaxxAudio on Alcatel POP 4, users are able to enjoy a superior and elevated sonic experience that goes beyond their expectation,” says Jack Joseph Puig, a multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning record producer/mixer and Head of Global Marketing, Waves Consumer Division.
The device will be available in Europe in October.

Beside we found devices from MOVE series, which is a series of intuitive wearable and lifestyle devices for users of all ages: MOVEBAND (the active bracelet that keeps up with all daily activities), MOVETIME (Wi-Fi watch), MOVETRACK (a compact GPS tracker) and MOVE Track & Talk (a watch which connects parents with their children).
MOVEBAND is the first band in the sports portfolio of the company. Using a dedicated application, users can track their physical activity (distance traveled, pace, time, calories, etc.) as well as their sleeping patterns.. MOVEBAND keeps users stay connected by tracking text messages, emails, and calls right from the wrist. The band will be sold in several colours with a charge-time of less than a two hours.
MOVETIME WiFi Watch is the handy companion for everyday tasks. MOVETIME WiFi Watch enables its users to make and receive calls directly from their wrists so they never miss what matters. Whether in a meeting or at a luncheon, Alcatel’s newest watch is notification ready — capable of opening emails, SMS and reminders. Like its counterparts, MOVETIME WiFi Watch monitors all exercise data — steps, calories, distance, time, water and caffeine intake, and heart rate. Using a dedicated application, users can track their physical fitness. MOVETIME Wi-Fi Watch supports using gestures. The device will be available in three colours: silver, dark grey and gold.
Alcatel created MOVETRACK, a portable GPS tracker. Weighing in at only 33 grams, this device can hook onto luggage or slip onto a keychain. MOVETRACK features real-time tracking for up to 4 days’ standby time. Using a separate application, Virtual Fence, users can receive notifications when an item enters or leaves a pre-programmed safe zone. Users can also check the location-tracking history for extra reassurance.
The last gadget is used to - as the manufacturer claims - connect parents with their children. You just need to connect smartphones MOVE Track & Talk. Parents can ensure their children’s safety from the palms of their hands — making calls, sending voice messages, tracking their location, all from a dedicated user-friendly application. MOVE Track & Talk can store five speed-dial numbers for quick calling and 10 pre-set contacts in case of emergency. Not sure where the little one has run off to? MOVE Track&Talk is equipped with a unique combination of GPS, GSM and WiFi to allow parents to locate their child within 90 seconds using the most accurate location information, either indoors and out. The transmitter battery allows for up to four days of work.
The MOVE series will be available starting from the end of September.

Alcatel engineers have also agreed to look into the possibilities offered by virtual reality. They showed wireless VR goggles and a camera enabling you to take 360° pictures and videos.
VISION is the world’s first all-in-one mobile home entertainment virtual reality device to be offered with entry-level pricing that is readily affordable. It can be worn comfortably for 2-3 hours, with or without glasses, allowing plenty of time for a child to take a VR tour of a museum or for watching a movie.

The Alcatel 360 Camera, meanwhile, is an easy-to-use 360° camera that’s available in two models, both with a dual 210° fisheye lens: a rectangular model, about half the size of a credit card, and a ball-shaped one, about the size of a coin. The compact, lightweight, plug and play Alcatel 360 allows users to capture then preview and share on the smartphones instantly.
