The Samsung's Korean branch, without much fanfare officially announced a new version of the tablet Galaxy Tab A, which we wrote about a few days ago.
The new model has been enhanced with the S-Pen stylus and received a slightly revised specification. The new version is marked SM-P580 or SM-P585 (in the variant with LTE module), the official name of the commercial device is Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen.

The new model shares most of the specifications of the previous one. It has the same 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. There are no changes in a set of cameras (8 and 2 megapixels), the battery capacity of 7300 mAh and an internal memory of 32 GB, from which for the user there is 24.8 GB and you can enlarge it with the microSD card of 256 GB. The tablet has also, of course, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4+5 GHz. As mentioned earlier, the device can have optionally the LTE modem.

Time for differences. Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen has 3 instead of 2 GB of RAM, but primarily it occurs in tandem with the S-Pen stylus. The stylus provides opportunities similar to those known from Galaxy Note smartphones. You can use the stylus to draw and sketch, you can also use it to select and copy a variety of content, to apply your own notes or take screenshots. There is also the recently introduced option of writing on a blank screen. The tablet runs on Android 6.0, weighs 558 grams and has dimensions of 254.3 x 164.2 x 8.2 mm. Unfortunately, Samsung does not give any information about the price of the device and its availability outside of Korea.
