Honor 6X launches in China. There is a new tablet and a smartwatch as well

Huawei officially presented the new model of the Honor brand. Honor 6X has a dual camera and it comes in three versions that differ in memory.

The top version of Honor 6X will receive 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. There will be two other versions with 32GB of internal memory and 3 or 4GB of RAM. The memory can be enhanced with a microSD card of up to 128GB and the heart of the device will be an octa-core Kirin 655 2.1GHz CPU. The phone is equipped with a 5.5-inch FullHD display and a 3340 mAh battery.

The dual camera of Honor 6X has a resolution of 12+2 megapixels and is equipped with PDAF and a single LED flash. The camera has a matrix with pixels in an enlarged size in order to provide better photos in a weaker lighting.

The dual lens of the camera allows taking photos with a changeable focus and achieving the blurred-out background. The front camera has 8 megapixels and a multi-step beautifying mode.

Honor 6X supports LTE networks with the VoLTE technology, it has a fingerprint scanner as well, which is placed at the back of the housing. We can of course find Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS modules. Everything is supervised by Android 6.0 with the EMUI 4.1 add-on. The device has dimensions of 150.9 x 72.6 x 8.2mm and it weighs 162g.

Everything is locked in a metal housing that will be available in silver, graphite and gold colours. After a while a blue and a pink one will join them. The cheapest version of Honor 6X (3+32GB) costs 999 yuan and the top one – 1599 yuan. After conversion it will be 149 and 238 dollars respectively. The medium model, 4+32GB, costs 1299 yuan, that is 193 dollars. They will launch at the 25th of the October.

The second novelty presented today is a budget tablet, which name can be translated as "Flat 2". For now we do not know how it will be called when it is going to be sold outside China, but we have learned that the device has an 8-inch FullHD IPS display and that it can work in the divided display mode. The tablet has an octa-core Qualcomm CPU and 3GB of RAM.

The tablet is equipped with an optional LTE module, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/Glonass, and it is being powered by a 4800 mAh cell. However, during the conference, we were given the price for the 3G device, which is 1499 yuan, that is 223 dollars. This is a version with 32GB of internal memory. Models with Wi-Fi and the memory of 16 and 32GB cost 999 and 1299 yuan respectively, that is 149/193 dollars.

Honor presented a new S1 smartwatch, with a round display and replaceable straps that will be offered in a wide range of colours. The watch weighs only 35g, it has a heart-rate meter and it is waterproof to the pressure of 5 atm. Its price is 699 yuan that is 103 dollars.
