The first Samsung with the MediaTek processor, which was to bear the name Grand Prime+ and earlier Grand Prime (2016), already went on sale in Russia. Ironically, under the name Galaxy J2 Prime.
It is not known why it was decided to change the name - perhaps it was meant to unify naming, and perhaps to"cut-off" the model from the Prime series... But this is not important, because the phone - codenamed SM-G532F is the same as announced.
As expected, Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime received a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels and the housing made with the material maintained in the characteristic style of the cheaper Samsung phones. The heart of the phone is a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T, supported by 1.5 GB of RAM and the Mali-T720 graphics chip clocked at 600 MHz.
