Without much fanfare, Huawei unveiled at CES a new version of the smartphone P9 Lite. The Huawei P9 Lite 2017 model has a fresh new look and a slightly different specification.
From a press release by Huawei we did not learn much about P9 Lite 2017. The company announces a new model for distribution in Latin America and South America, but in the press release it writes mainly about another smartphone - Nova. Huawei devoted to the model P9 Lite 2017 only one paragraph. Huawei announces that the housing of the new version of P9 Lite received a revised styling. The phone has now the front and the back covered with convex glass 2.5D and it is definitely more elegant than the original.

Even more important change is the replacement of the processor Kirin 650 with a new unit, Kirin 655, clocked at 2 GHz. The processor is supported by 3 GB of RAM, the phone also received a round fingerprint scanner and a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. Huawei P9 Lite 2017 is running Android 7.0 Nougat with the overlay EMUI 5.0. The equipment complement the 12-megapixel camera with a lens aperture of f/2.0, accompanied by the 8-megapixel front camera. The 5.2-inch screen has a FullHD resolution. It is not known whether this model will come also to Europe, but there is information that it can be offered under the brand Honor with more memory - 4+32 GB. The price is estimated to be approx. 250 euro.
