Nokia smartphones return to the awareness of users as devices which are no longer sold by Nokia, only by HMD Global Oy. Nokia 6 despite Android has a chance for more than one million buyers.
Nokia 6 is a smartphone not for everyone. The HMD company has decided for the time being on the exclusive distribution in China and only through the sales service JD (Jingdong Mall). However, there is some chance that Nokia 6 will appear in Europe. Though, of course, nothing is certain.
The exclusive vendor of Nokia 6 - JD service - allowed the registration of all users who want to buy the device. At this point, the counter shows 1003410 buyers. Sales in reality, with the actual purchase, will start in two days: 19 January 2017. The time counter at the store beats constantly, and new buyers arrive.
Nokia 6 costs 1,699 yuan (approx. US $ 245 or approx. 230 euro). It is not much, but its acquisition outside China is very difficult. You can’t register as a buyer in JD, being a resident of another country.
For HMD Global such a prosperity of the smartphone is a big success. Perhaps the choice of the first market and the announcement of exclusivity were not bad milestones.
