MWC 2017: LG G6 – ergonomics first

There were disco moods during the first presentation of LG G6, mainly due to a series of lights mounted in the ceiling. LG welcomed us very hospitably, and a moment later we met the parameters of the latest LG flagship.

During the conference, the representatives of the manufacturer emphasised that the latest model is to correspond to the expectations of customers, particularly in terms of ergonomics. The shape and size of the phone (its display is a 5.7-inch QHD + FullVision 18: 9 dimensions of 2880x1440 pixels / 564 ppi) was preceded by laboratory tests.

- G6 offers users a previously unknown visual and manual impressions. The perfect combination of extended screen and convenience associated with the operation of the device with one hand - said during a conference Juno Cho, the president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. - LG will continue to develop innovative solutions for smartphones, while focusing on comfort and reliability in order to meet and even exceed the expectations of consumers – he emphasised.

LG G6 is not only larger, but also more resistant to falls (a rounded metal edges) and other classic accidental damage caused by the customer (flooding with water, beer, dust caused by the flour and sugar – it has standard IP 68).

It has an impressive camera with a wide angle lens (125 degrees), which takes pictures at a resolution of 13 megapixels. The front camera, which we will take photos with a resolution of 5 megapixels also has a wide-angle lens (100 degrees), which easily we do not only take a selfie, but also pictures a group of friends.

LG G6 is the first phone of this manufacturer with a built-in Google Assistant, which seamlessly and intuitively works with LG applications. This allows users to quickly find answers to their questions, manage daily affairs, enjoy music and movies, as well as search the device faster and more efficiently than before. As announced by representatives of Lg, Assistant Google also "learns" the user, because the more often it is asked for help, the more accurately it provides the answers. As an example of such a solution there was indicated that it may examine the scheme of our meetings and offer a convenient location of next ones - in the area where the user often is present.

The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and Android 7.0 Nougat. The battery has a capacity of 3300 mAh (built-in), dimensions are 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm, and weight - 163 grams.

The fans of smartphones entertainment will be interested in the fact that under the proposed special offer only for users of LG G6 there was prepared a free package of six games (Temple Run 2, Spiderman Unlimited, Cookie Jam & Genies Gems, SimCity Buildit and Crossy Road).

The smartphone will go on sale next month, and the housing of LG G6 will be available in white, black and platinum. The combination of two materials: aluminum and glass looks elegant and minimalist, the design is characterized by sleek and rounded lines, so the smartphone is perfectly smooth to the touch and much nicer than its predecessor. The back of the device is perfectly flat, with no protrusions of a camera. The camera sensor and the loudspeaker are arranged in a single row.
