As part of the refresh of the Y-Series smartphone range, Huawei unveiled the new Huawei Y6 2017 model. The name leaves no doubt which model will be replaced by the new one.
Huawei Y6 2017 is styled to the predecessor, and its housing will be offered in white, silver and gold. The phone received a 5-inch HD display and a 1.4 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor, powered by 2 GB of RAM and Mali-T720 MP2 graphics. The internal memory has a capacity of 16 GB and can be expanded with a 128 GB microSD card.
The smartphone has two cameras - 13 and 5 megapixel - both with LEDs – the rear one with a double LED flash and the front one with a single LED flash. Huawei Y6 2017 offers connectivity via LTE, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, also has GPS and microUSB ports and a minijack. The phone can support two SIM cards. Huawei Y6 2017 uses EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 and has an additional mechanical shortcut to launch the three selected applications with appropriate short, long and dual presses. The smartphone powers a 3000 mAh battery, and the whole device weighs 150 g. The dimensions of the case are 143.8x72x8.45 mm.
