The Korean branch of Samsung has announced a new smartphone in the form of a clamshell. Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 will be available in two (and good - four) versions.
Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is representative of quite popular in Asia, and in Europe actually not known segment of smartphones with a clamshell casing, which are positioned at the upper price shelf. For us a clamshell phone is associated with simple functions and a low price - and there it is something like a fashionable gadget.
Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 has a classic, rather large keyboard with additional (slightly unusual) Android 6.0 system keys. The keyboard also includes shortcut keys, such as camera or messages. The phone has just a glossy exterior finish and a notification light – there is one screen inside the flip. It has a size of 3.78 inches and a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The interface has a special simplified mode, which probably comes down to enlarging the icons on the desktop and limiting them to the most needed.

The heart of the phone is a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor, powered by 2 or 3 GB of RAM, while the internal memory has a capacity of 16 or 32 GB - of course with the option to expand with the microSD card up to 256 GB. The device powers a 1950 mAh replacement battery. Cameras are not extraordinary - they have 5 and 8 megapixels.
Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is available in LTE and 3G variants and in two colour versions - black and burgundy. Its price in Korea is 297 thousand won. Rather there is no chance of this model appearing in Europe.
