Honor 9 Lite received a metal-glass casing (appearing in four colour versions) and a 5.65-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels, meaning Full HD+. The heart of the phone is the octa-core Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36 GHz, which will be supported by 3 or 4 GB of RAM, combined with two variants of internal memory - 32 or 64 GB. The new Honor debuted with the Android 8.0 Oreo with the EMUI 8.0 interface.

Honor 9 Lite draws energy from a 3000 mAh battery, it also has the ability to work in DualSIM mode and a fingerprint reader, but NFC is missing. Honor 9 Lite has a fairly interesting set of cameras. Both are double and have matrices with the same resolutions - both at the front and back we have 13 + 2 Mpx.

Honor 9 Lite will be available in China from December 26, and its prices, depending on the chosen combination of memory, will be:
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB flash - 1199 yuan, 183 dollars.
- 4 GB RAM + 32 GB flash - 1499 yuan, 228 dollars.
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB flash - 1799 yuan, 274 dollars.
