During the CES, Samsung presented new solutions in the field of the Internet of Things and the automotive industry, but some may be disappointed, because no specific information about the upcoming flagship of the company has been revealed. None - except one: their release date.
The head of the Samsung mobile department, DJ Koh, announced that the new flagships will be known "at the fair in February" - and it is obvious that he meant MWC. The event will take place on February 26 - March 1, so we can expect the launch of Galaxy S9 and S9+ on the eve of the MWC, on February 24 or 25 in the evening. It promises to be an interesting edition of MWC - we are also expecting the launch of a competitive flagship from LG.
DJ Koh also revealed that Samsung will present a new edition of the virtual assistant - Bixby 2.0 this year - and this solution will go to all Samsung devices by 2020. At the same time DJ Koh denied rumours that we will see a smartphone with a flexible screen this year. According to the head of Samsung Mobile, the launch of such a device should be expected at the earliest in a year, because the user interface still needs further refinement. It is not known what problems have been encountered, but the company is working hard to solve them, and they are probably serious, since it has not even been decided on the initial announcement of the device.
