Today in Beijing there was a press conference during which the latest smartphone from the Lenovo portfolio was officially presented - the Lenovo S5 model.
Lenovo S5 has a unibody aluminum housing that has undergone many processes (CNC, injection molding, grinding, sandblasting, diamond cutting and anodising) to achieve a unique look and a smooth finish. The phone has a 5.7-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. The heart of the device is an 8-core Snapdragon 625 supported by 3/4 GB of RAM and 32/64/128 GB of internal memory. All this is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery that, thanks to energy-saving technology, is to provide up to 23 hours of intensive use. The whole works on Android O together with the ZUI 3.7 overlay, which offers, among others, U-Touch 4.0 technology, responsible for touch interface support and gestures.

The Lenovo S5 model has a dual main camera - with one 13-megapixel monochrome lens, responsible for image detail registration and the other, with a f/2.2 aperture, coloured, also 13-megapixel, responsible for capturing colours. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and offers features such as intelligent beautification and face recognition.
Apart from face recognition, additional biometric security, i.e. a fingerprint scanner, placed on the back panel, is responsible for data security. With physical connectors, Lenovo S5 has a USB-C port and a universal headphone jack. It supports OTG and dualSIM technology in a hybrid solution (2 nanoSIM or nanoSIM and microSD cards). Other communication options include the dual band wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2.
How did the manufacturer priced this device? Well, the version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory costs 999 yuan, or about 157 dollars, version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory costs 1199 yuan (about 189 dollars), and the most powerful version, with 4 GB RAM memory and built-in memory with a capacity of 128 GB, was valued at 1,499 yuan, or about $ 236. The model can be ordered in advance - starting from March 23, it will start to reach customers.
Let us add that during the conference Lenovo K5, Lenovo K5 Play, a smartwatch and Hi-Fi DP-20 headphones were also presented.
