We've had the official launch of the new Redmi. Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Xiaomi Redmi 6A have just arrived at the official website of the manufacturer.
In both models, we'll find 5.45-inch displays with 18: 9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution, equipped with a mode of eye protection and providing a contrast of 1000: 1 at a density of 295 ppi. Xiaomi Redmi 6 is available in two memory configurations - 3+32 GB and 4+64 GB, while Xiaomi Redmi 6A only in one - 2+16 GB. In both cases, you can use a microSD card with a capacity of up to 256 GB. Xiaomi Redmi 6 is equipped with a 2 GHz octa-core Helio P22 processor, while Xiaomi Redmi 6A - in Helio A22, with four A53 cores clocked at 2 GHz.

Both models are powered by 3000 mAh batteries, in both we can also find hybrid DualSIM, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 or single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Both did not miss the GPS/Glonass/Beidou navigation. Both Redmi 6 have minijacks.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 received a dual camera assisted by artificial intelligence. It has 12 and 5 megapixel matrices, PDAF and LED flash, and records movies in HD and FullHD or slow motion 120 fps - but only in VGA. The main lens of this camera has aperture of f/2.2. The same aperture also has a 5-megapixel front camera, also assisted by AI when embellishing or detecting sex or age. The camera also allows the use of unlocking the phone by face recognition.

In Xiaomi Redmi 6A the front camera is the same as in Redmi 6 - 5 megapixels and the f/2.2 lens, while the rear is a single, 13-megapixel with f/2.2 lens - no longer recording 120 fps, but still with AI support. Both smartphones are available in four colour versions and have the same dimensions: 147.5x7.5x8.3 mm. They differ only minimally with a weight of 146 and 145 g, respectively.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A costs 599 yuan (94 USD), while in case of Xiaomi Redmi 6, only the price of the weaker version of the memory is given - 799 yuan, or 125 dollars.
