In India, the smartphone of the new brand belonging to Xiaomi was officially presented. The Poco F1 phone combines a good specification with an equally decent price.

Poco F1 is expected to compete on the market with "budget" flagships like OnePlus 6. Poco F1's strength is to be the top Snapdragon 845 processor combined with the original LiquidCool Technology cooling system, designed to dissipate heat up to 300% faster than competitive models. Unfortunately, the phone's housing is made of polycarbonate, although an exclusive version of Armored Edition with increased durability will also be available. Here, the housing is to be largely made of kewlar and supposedly more expensive to manufacture than glass. In addition, the usual housing is to be available in Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Rosso Red.

The Poco F1 screen has, of course, a fashionable notch and equally fashionable narrow frames, and its resolution is Full HD with a diagonal of 6.18 inches. The brightness reaches 500 rivets, and the contrast is 1500: 1. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass - but it is not specified in which version. All is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 charging. Sound system is provided by the Dirac HD Sound system with stereo speakers, and the security is provided by a fingerprint reader and a face recognition system using infrared.

There is also a hybrid microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 256 GB. There is also a minijack. In the photographic part, we have a 20-megapixel selfie camera and a dual rear camera with artificial intelligence and 12 and 5 megapixel sensors. The main matrix is a Sony IMX 363 module, known for example from the Mi8 or Mi Mix 2S. In addition, the phone received a modified version of the MIUI interface for Poco, which improved the multitasking or application tray, adding the option to automatically group applications.

Poco F1 is offered in India in three memory versions - you can have 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 to 256 GB of internal memory. Prices for India are as follows:

  • 6+64 GB - 20999 rupees = 300 USD.
  • 6+128 GB - 23999 rupees = 344 USD.
  • 8+256 GB - 28999 rupees = 415 USD.
  • Armoured Edition 8+256 GB - 29999 rupees = 430 USD.

For now, we do not know the memory variants or prices for the European market, but as we already know, the phone will soon go to a wider distribution and soon everything should be clear.
