Xiaomi Submark presented its proposition in the budget segment in India. Redmi 8A is cheap, but offers quite a lot for its price.
Redmi 8A received a 6.22-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and a Snapdragon 439 processor, supported by 2 or 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory is only available in the 32 GB version and can be expanded with a microSD card. The phone has a substantial battery - 5000 mAh with 18 W charging, but it lacks a fingerprint reader. Instead, there is a lock option using a face recognition system that uses a front 8-megapixel camera.
The rear camera is single, but quite decent. It's a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 module with f/1.8 aperture and DualPD autofocus. As a system, of course, Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 interface, and the equipment is complemented by: a minijack, USB-C and an infrared transmitter. The screen protects Gorilla Glass 5, while the inside of the housing has P2i anti-moisture protection. There are three housing colours to choose from, and the price of the device is 6499 or 6999 rupees (depending on the RAM capacity). After conversion, it gives 91-98 dollars.
