Motorola One Hyper debuted in Brazil

In Brazil, Motorola presented a new model One Hyper. This is Motorola's first phone with a retractable selfie camera. What else does it offer and how much has it been valued?

The Motorola One Hyper front camera (with 32 Mpx matrix and f/2.0 lens) is mounted on the extension arm extending from the top wall, slightly closer to the right side of the housing. This detail was emphasized by connecting it to the main camera frame visible on the back of the housing. This frame, in turn, smoothly changes into a shiny strip that runs through the entire height of the housing. The rear camera protrudes clearly beyond the body outline and has three matrices. The main one has 64 Mpx, f/1.8 lens and night mode, while the auxiliary, 8 Mpx works with a wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. The last one is a ToF sensor that helps with background blurring effects.

The heart of Motorola One Hyper is the Snapdragon 675 processor, supported by a modest 4 GB of RAM, which we already know from other Motorola models. Fortunately, the smartphone has Android 10 in almost raw form, which in this combination should work quite smoothly. As for the average, the 128 GB internal memory looks quite decent, which can be additionally enlarged with a microSD card - alternating with the use of DualSIM in a hybrid slot. The smartphone has Bluetooth 5.0, dual band Wi-Fi, LTE, FM radio, a minijack and USB-C port, as well as a single speaker and an interesting detail in the form of an illuminated ring around the fingerprint reader on the back. This light acts as a notification LED.

The use of the retractable selfie camera allowed to narrow the bezel around the screen with a diagonal of 6.5 inches, 21: 9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. The 4000 mAh battery has fast charging, and the optional NFC module can complete the equipment. The smartphone will be offered in three colours. It was valued at $ 399.
